Let us tell you that traffic jam situation persists every day in many areas of the city, due to which the encroachment done by shopkeepers on the tracks and drains from Sankat Mochan to Girdhar’s Chauraha was removed. Before removing the encroachment, Sub-District Magistrate Gulab Chand informed the people that they should remove the encroachment themselves, otherwise, if it is removed by the administration, a fee will be charged from them. On receiving the information, some people were seen removing the encroachment on their own, while some people got into a dispute. City Magistrate Lal Bahadur got the encroachment removed by explaining to the people who had encroached. Municipal Executive Officer Goa Lal was seen removing the encroachment strictly with his team. SDM Sadar Gulab Chand said
that once the encroachment is removed, if anyone is found encroaching again, strict action will be taken against him and a fine will be imposed. Now it remains to be seen how much impact this order of the administration has on the encroachers.
